Rajni In Shankar's Robot

It is officially confirmed that Superstar Rajinikanth will feature in Shankar's Robot! It might be recalled that Shankar had this project in mind a few years back with Kamal Hassan on the lead, but that project didn't materialize for some reason. He also approached Shahrukh Khan recently to play the lead but that was dropped as well. The new Robot featuring Rajinikanth will be produced by Ayngaran International and EROS Multimedia. The movie is set to be produced in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and other regional languages. A.R. Rahman will render the music for this huge project! The project will take anywhere between 18 to 24 months for completion and will be produced at a cost of Rs.100 crore! Before Robot's commencement Rajni is planning to do a short project for K. Balachander's Kavithalaya and the movie will be directed by P. Vasu.
