Shilpa Shirodkar makes a comeback through the small screen

Many might have even forgotten the name Shilpa Shirodkar in the entertainment industry. She will however be seen making a comeback on the small screen. She will make a return through a local entertainment Marathi channel in Maharashtra, India. The title of the show is Bole To Malamaal.

But how did Shilpa Shirodkar come in the limelight? Who remembered this forgotten lady of yesteryears? It was the daughter of the Union Minister for Power Sushil Kumar Shinde, Smriti Shinde. Smriti has roped in Shilpa for the show.

Shilpa Shirodkar was seen in films like Mritiyudand and Khuda Gawah. However, after her marriage to one businessman, she literally left the entertainment industry. She went into oblivion and forgetfulness.

As far as the show is concerned, it is being rumored that, Smirti Shinde got the approval by influencing the channel through her father. However, according to Smriti her father came to know about the show only when she told him about the developments.

All is not well with Govinda’s daughter Narmada Ahuja

The daughter of ace comedian of Bollywood Govinda, Narmada Ahuja is quite troubled these days. No, it is not because her film is not doing well. The film is to be released actually. But the real reason is different. As a matter of fact, her first film is seeing a dead end.

Her debut film, titled Manchali, does not see a release date yet. There are some problems which is stopping the film from being released. Narmada Ahuja stars opposite Olympic medalist boxer Vijender Singh. It was also rumored that her father, Govinda and his fast friend Salman Khan would do guest appearances in the film.

Some weeks before, Vijender Singh got married with Archana Singh. Now that he got married, there are questions being raised if at all he will be in the lead or not. Apart from his changed marital status, the pro boxer has his boxing schedules set as well. So there are serious questions being raised over his availability for the film.

If one goes by Narmada’s statements, then she was not even aware that Vijender was getting married at all. According to her, she heard the news through the media. After this, it seems she is really upset.

Asin is short of a close friend in Bollywood

The south beauty Asin Thottumkal has done films in Bollywood with actors like Ajay Devgan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan – with Salman being her latest hero in the film Ready. She is also awaiting her forthcoming release Housefull 2 with Akshay Kumar. In spite of all this, Asin says that she does not have any close friend in Bollywood yet.

But what makes her think this when she has got the chance to work with so many renowned, famous and popular actors? Well, when we are asking this question, we are confusing the professional life with personal life. This is exactly what Asin has sorted out. She knows better than us where to draw the line.

As a matter of fact, almost all the actors she has worked with are seniors to her. Asin is just 26 years old while all the other actors are senior to her by around 15 years at least. That is why she has a lot of respect for them and holds them in high esteem.

Secondly, Asin feels that it takes a lot of time and efforts to build in a relationship which can be addressed as close friends.

In the meantime, Asin has been linked with Bollywood actor Neil Ninin Mukesh. Or let us say it has been vice versa. However, Neil has come forward to deny all the baseless news, terming them as rumors.

Sanjay Dutt to play Baba Ramdev in his next film

According to the latest reports Sanjay Dutt is slated to play yog-guru Baba Ramdev. Director Mani Shankar, who is close to Swami Ramdev, has decided to make a film on his crusade. Mani Shankar is totally impressed the way Baba Ramdev is handling the corruption issue with the fast-unto-death decision.

According to the latest reports, the director will also include the Saturday midnight drama that took place at the Ramlila ground in Delhi. Mani Shankar is now busy studying the ins and outs of the current situation. It seems that the director is going to lift up every possible detail that is available for him.

It is not the first time that Mani Shankar is playing with the idea of making a film being inspired by Baba Ramdev. Earlier, he had made a film titled Knock Out which had the core subject of the black money stashed away in foreign banks.

But as far as the role of Swami Ramdev is concerned, it is yet not clear if Sanju Baba will play Ramdev Baba. But Mani Shankar wants Sanjay Dutt to play the role of the yog-guru from the bottom of his heart. Mani believes that Sanjay Dutt will never refuse a role offered by him.

Katrina Kaif rejects ad offer from a ketchup company

Few More Days For Mankatha

‘Mankatha’ is rapidly progressing towards completion across the huge sets erected at Hyderabad Film City. The producers initially had plans of releasing the movie by mid of June, but had to postpone due to some circumstances. Venkat Prabhu is taking scrutinizing efforts over the project to ensure that the film comes out well with technical brilliance.

As per the reports closer to Cloud Nine Movies, the film will hit screens by second week of July as Venkat Prabhu and Dayanidhi Maaran are planning to release the film in Telugu as well.

Meanwhile Yuvan Shankar Raja is working on patch-up works for the remaining songs that will hit audio stores by end of June.

Reshmi says that she is learnt a lot by acting in Kanden

Kanden is the recently released film which has Santhanoo and Reshmi in the lead roles. Reshmi has acted well in the role called Narmada. When Reshmi who had come from Telugu to Tamil with confidence was asked about her Kanden experience, she said, "Director Mukhil will be very much attentive and concentrating at the shooting spots.
He will also expect good acting from the actors. At that point of time I use to get irritated. At the same time he will expect us to act in a single take. Sometimes he use to scold us. Because of this it was very difficult for me to act in the initial stages. Afterwards the assistant directors use to explain me that how I should act in a scene.
After this I did not have any difficulty while acting. I have learnt a lot of things by acting in Kanden. I am very confident that I will be getting lots of offers in Tamil."

Vikram to don dual roles

Vendhan is a film directed by Suseentharan which has Vikram in the lead role. For the first time, he is donning dual roles in this film. One is father role and the other one is son’s role.
Director Suseentharan who had earlier directed films like Venilla Kabadi Kulu, Naan Mahan Alla and Azhagar Sami Kuthirai is now directing a film which has Vikram in the lead role. The film is titled Vendhan. Deeksha Seth is pairing with Vikram.
Mithra who had acted in Kavalan is also starring in this film. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the music. This film will be wholesome action oriented one. The official announcement regarding this film is to be made soon. The shooting of this film is to commence on 7th June.

Jayam Ravi celebrates Wedding Anniversary

Two years back on June 4, we had reported the star-studded glitzy affair of actor Jayam Ravi's wedding when he entered wedlock with Aarthi. The wedding was held at the Mayor Ramanathan Chettiyar auditorium.

In the mid of 2010, while shooting for 'Engeyum Kadhal' at Paris, the actor was blessed with a baby boy and he flew down to be with his wife and the family's lil' one during the happy occasion.

His friend and actor, Jeeva had tweeted him congratulating him jokingly, saying the former has been hooked and has cooked from two years... Jayam Ravi's page was flooded with wishes from fans.

Allu Arjun all praises for Bala

Allu Arjun, one of the top-notch heroes in Tollywood who is awe-struck after watching Bala's 'Avan Iva's Telugu make 'Vaadu Veedu's trailer at the movie's audio launch.

The star is always known for the open praises he doesn't hesitate to make after he watches a Kollywood flick and has many-a-times expressed his wish to work in K-town. He had also earlier expressed his desire to work with some of the leading directors in our industry and now after watching the trailer of the Telugu version of 'Vaadu Veedu,' he is all praises for Bala and become a fan of the latter!

We aren't surprised though, for there are only a few who cannot appreciate an initiative by Bala and his unique scripts and character portrayals remain etched in the hearts rather than the minds of the audience.

Allu Arjun even went to request Bala to direct films in Telugu and expressed his desire to work under this ace director.

The hero is known for his hard work among Tollywood folks, his dance movements have been trend-setters in the country and his stunt sequences and performance-oriented scenes have always been received well.

With Vishal having been a mass hero doing commercial projects before 'Avan Ivan,' and Allu Arjun on the same note in Tollywood, can we watch a Bala-Allu Arjun flick in the coming days? We'd sure love to, but only time will tell the tale.

STR sings for a psychological-thriller

We had earlier told you a few months back that Simbu is lending the voice for the tracks of the Renigunta team's next venture – '18 Vayasu.'

Director of 'Reningunta', Paneerselvan and the lead, Johnny will be entertaining us with a psychological thriller they are working on, that is titled '18 Vayasu.'

Johnny plays a psychopath in this movie and sources say that various scenes are canned at dense forests and wild locations. Meanwhile, the audio launch for this flick will take place on a grand scale early this month.

Not just that, the movie also introduces to us a new music composer, Charles.

Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra to have on-screen romance

Not all is well between Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. The stories of their breakups and settling things and breaking up and then again settling things up has become a regular affair. They have hardly managed to keep things on track. But when they were going steady and seeing each other, Kunal Kohli signed them for his next film.

No doubt, he had made a good choice of getting the pair for the lead as they were dating in real life too. However, calamity struck Kohli even before the shooting of the film had started. (As usual) Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra saw their relation again hitting the rocks. Kohli wonders what will happen to his film.

However, he believes in the professionalism of both the actors. They do give a good shot when before the camera. But the situation is not too good on the sets once the shooting stops.

A source reveals that there is tension for sure. Both Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra have almost zero interaction between them when they are giving the shots. Once any specific shot is over, they turn a blind eye towards each other. There is such a great amount of hatred towards each other that none of them rehearses with each other.

The results may not be too good for the film. We just pray for the best!
