Amala Paul says that she is ready for glamour if the role is good

Amala Paul said," For one year I worked hard and the result is that Tamil audience has made me sit on the top. In order to keep this place safe that is given by the Tamil people, I am very careful in choosing the role." Though she has earned name, fame and money she is very calm. Her call sheet diary is full till end of this year. She is acting with Vikram in a film directed by Vijay and also in another film titled Mupozhuthum Un Karpanaigal directed by Ganesh. Apart from this she is acting in a film directed by Lingusamy and in another Tamil film directed by Pandiraj.

How do you take rumors?
I have acted with Vikram only for three days. There were son many rumors about him and me. I am not worried about rumors. I enjoy rumors.
Who is your competitor?
I don’t have the intention of competing with anyone. Everybody has talents. In the same way I will come up with the talents I have.
Will you act in glamour roles?
If the role is good, I will definitely act glamorously.

Tell us about the Pongal treat Siruthai?

This film is the remake of the Telugu film. It has come out ten times powerful than the Telugu version. They have added lot of interesting factors in the screenplay and has made it beautiful. It has come out extraordinarily well. I am donning the role of an innocent girl who falls in love with Karthi.

Tell us about your lover Karthi?

Don’t tell like that. Tell that he is Siruthai’s film lover. There want be a slightest shade of Paiyya in this film. He has changed his looks. He has excelled in every individual scene. I was very much impressed with Karthi. He is donning the role of a pickpocket. It is a very energetic character. There will be a fantastic romantic comedy at the first meeting itself.

You are always flying. Don’t you have the idea of settling in Chennai?

I am very home sick. I always feel like going home in Mumbai after completing my work. My father, mother and friends are all there. I am not able to leave them. That is the reason for not acquiring a house here.

When are you going to act with senior actors?

I definitely have that desire. I want to act with Rajni and Kamal sirs. But the opportunity is yet to come. I also got lots of desire to act in films directed by Manirathnam, Shankar, Gowtham Menon, Sasikumar and Radha Mohan. After five years when I turn back and see, I should have the satisfaction that I had acted in good roles. I always feel that whatever work we do, we should do it with dedication and sincerity.

Who are your close friends in Tamil cinema?

Poonam Bajwa and Vedhika are my very close friends. We three always go for shopping. We also go to restaurants regularly. Please believe me that I have no boyfriends. I wish everyone and all a happy Pongal.

It seems that you got wild with a fan in Erode?

Many wanted to take photos with me. One particular fan rushed towards me. I advised him not to rush. There was news that he pinched my waist and I got wild. If at all he had pinched me that fan would have ran away and I would also not have advised him. I would have slapped him.

Will you come into politics?

I don’t about politics. Hence I will not come into politics. I will not campaign for any political parties.

How should a politician be?

He should be a good politician.

It seems that you have acted in risky fighting scenes in Bhavani?

Yes it is true. This film is a remake of the film Vijayanthi I P S in which Vijayashanthi did the lead role. I am donning the lead role of a police officer. I have really fought with 16 stunt actors in this film. I only should pretend like hitting. Because this is my first action film, I have really hit the stunt actors. I saw the film. I liked it very much. You can see a new Sneha in this film. I was stunned the way I had acted in this film. Whenever I go to out stations they ask me when Bhavani is being released. It was a new experience when I had hung in the rope and fought in the stunt scenes. I was able to understand the difficulty of the action heroes. In this film I fight against the politicians.

Will you show this film to Vijayashanthi?

In a TV interview Vijayashanthi has mentioned that I am suitable for the role. I want to screen this film for her.

Will you continue to act in action films?

I will decide this after seeing the results of Bhavani. I am not scared in acting in action films. I was little sad when I removed the khaki dress after the shooting was completed. I would like to act in such kind of films.

In real life do you want to hit anyone?

There are lots of people but I can’t mention their names.

Are you angry with Kodambakkam? You are not to be seen in many films.

I should get good role boss then only I can stand in your heart. I am not getting good films. Apart from this I don’t have any anger against Kodambakkam.

Was Raavanan a plus or minus for you?

In one channel they have stated that I was a big plus for that film. That is enough for me. I got lots of appreciations. Wherever I go they speak about my role in Raavanan. As far as I am concerned it is big plus to me.

But even that film also there was a rape scene?

Why are you asking such a question? The foundation of this film itself is that the character is raped. Because of this rape only Vikram kidnaps Prithvi’s wife. I will not refuse to act in a rape scene if the story demands it.

What are the films you are doing in Hindi?

I keep on listening to stories. As far as Hindi is concerned I have to face a stiff competition. It is a different kind of field. The high budgeted mega films are made very easily there. So I had to select a role that would make people speak about.

The role I am doing in Raktha Charithra is such a one. Trisha and Asin have acted in two films respectively. There is no justice in telling that Tamil actresses would be boycotted. Actors should not be trapped in sensitive issues. Artists are common to all languages,

Is it true that you have been removed from Salman Khan film?

I also heard about this news spreading. Sri Lanka problem is a different issue. I am an ordinary actress. My work is acting. I will act if any one calls me. There is no doubt in it. Why are you bringing Sri Lanka problem into this?

Let it be. There cannot be any actress without rumours. I am not worried about these things.

Interview with Shazahn Padamsee

Shazahn Padamsee is a new lightening in Tamil cinema. She is doing the female lead role in the film Kanimozhi. She made her debut in the Hindi film Rocket Singh which had Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. She recently gave an interview to the media.

What is the meaning of your name?

My father wanted a name that has not been kept so far in the whole world. Shazahn means world beauty. In Tamil they asked me to change the name. I did not want to change this beautiful name that my father kept. You can call be world beauty.

How did you get the opportunity to act in Kanimozhi?

I wanted to act in cinema. That’s all. I wanted to act in Tamil and Telugu films. But the Ad film I acted with Sharukh Khan gave me the opportunity to act in a Hindi film. When I heard the story of Kanimozhi, I liked it very much. I immediately came to Tamil. My character name in this film is Anu. I am doing the role of a bubbly girl. In real life also I am a bubbly girl. The story revolves around me. The whole film has live recording except for me. My voice is dubbed. I love this film.

How is cinema?

In the first place I am a theatre artist. I know acting but I don’t know cinema. I had an imagination of cinema. But after acting in a Bollywood film, I understood what is cinema. But Tamil cinema has different color and style. Here everything happens in express speed. Everybody is working very hard. The whole shooting of Kanimozhi was completed in one and half months. Next I have acted in a Telugu film. There it is pungent masala. Now I have understood cinema.

Who is your favourite hero?

In Hindi it is Ranbir Kapoor. In Tamil it is Surya. I have acted with Ranbir Kapoor. I am interested in acting with Surya.

What do you want to achieve in cinema?

I want to act in Manirathnam film.
