The Do's and Don'ts of a Relationship
A happy-ending is what we all crave for. However, happy-endings do not come easy. You have to go through all the hardships before you see the light of the day. Going through rough patches or ‘bad patch’ as it is often called, bares fruits. There is no such a fixed formula for having a successful relationship. Had it been such, we would never have heard the words like, 'breakup', 'ex-boyfriend', 'ex-girlfriend' or 'divorce', don't we? I do not believe in things such as, doing things knowingly or unknowingly.
The reason is simple. All humans are different and each one has the right to be unique. If I give you, something called a 'formula', for a successful relationship or a successful marriage, it would only be through my eyes, it would only be through my experiences. Even you and me are different, so are different our styles of looking at children and handling them.
Therefore, it would be difficult to say what exactly to do and what not to do. Still, some factors are important for all the couples - dating couples of course. Irrespective of where they live together or from what background they come from, for example, the most important thing being the trust unto each other. Trust is the most important binding factor that can keep a boy and a girl, a man and a woman together for the whole of their lives. Secondly, as only trust would not help, so also there should be love for each other.
Understanding shown towards each other can do wonders. Caring is also a key factor. How much you care for your partner you have to show that through words and actions. Nevertheless, actions speak louder than words. A thousand words of affection and a hug out of love are poles apart, the latter speaking volumes. If these small factors are taken into consideration, they I think, you have found the formula for a successful relationship. What I tried to tell you are all the positives. If you think they are worth it, then just spread the word.
Is it wrong to tell your boyfriend or husband about your weaknesses?
Is it wrong to tell your boyfriend or husband about your weaknesses?
I would not say that it would be completely wrong, but in fact it depends on what weakness you are exposing. If you are exposing too much of your personal life, I think that it would not be a good idea. After all even if you are married, still you have your own space and this space should be respected by each and every individual. If you are a husband does not mean that you should have a peek at each and every thing that your wife does. Secondly, if you think you might get humiliated at times, even then it would be a right choice to keep the things up to you. What wrong would it be to do so? There are some things which I have not exposed to my wife even after a considerable period of our marriage and I think I am doing no wrong. One more thing, the term that you say weakness is a subjective one. What you may call a 'weakness' and have kept it unto yourself, I for one, might feel that a trivial thing. So, it is up to each one to decide what things are our weaknesses and what the strong points are. Fourthly, it also depends on how your partner is. If he or she is a considerate fellow, there is no harm in telling about what your weaknesses are. If the fellow on the other side is mature enough to understand the importance, there is no harm in exposing. May be he can give you a solution, who knows.
Do You Believe in Love at First Sight?
Secondly, as long as you don't know the mind of a person how can you love him/her. It is important that you know the person, try to understand him or her and then only proceed. Moreover, to get into love and to remain there takes time. You need to win the confidence of the person and all these activities need time. This cannot happen overnight. And in most cases, this happens in just a moment.
My god! I, personally find this really surprising. Such love is bound to break sooner - though, I hope this comes false. But I have seen some couples who have fallen in love at first sight - in a moment's time and have broken up faster still. Then what you get is only frustration and depression. Is this the love that anyone seeks?
