Chandramukhi Returns to Tamil Nadu
Superstar Rajnikanth’s ‘Chandramukhi’ incredulously fetched the biggest honor for being the longest running film, thereby setting a record in Indian film industry. Director P. Vasu had left out many portions in the film that narrated the lives of ‘Vettayan’ Raja, Ganga and her lover. Yes, the sequences have been delineated in the second part that will have yet more gripping moments in the tale.
Initially, P. Vasu had plans of making this film with Superstar Rajnikanth and later Ajith Kumar got into the picture. Off the late, he started making the film in Kannada titled ‘Aaptha Rakshaka’. The filmmaker has now remade the film in Telugu as ‘Nagavalli – Chandramukhi Returns’. Earlier plans were not to release the film in Tamil Nadu as P. Vasu wanted to do the Tamil version as well.
But now, it will release with more prints across Tamil Nadu. ‘Nagavalli’ has Venkatesh playing dual roles with Kamalini Mukherji, Anushka Shetty and Shraddha Das in lead roles.
