Manmadhan Ambu Loses to 'Endhiran' and ‘Rattha Charithram’

Apart from the production cost of Rs.50Crores (as revealed by Kamal Haasan), Udhayanidhi Stalin has been spending more money into the promotional campaign. The film ‘Manmadhan Ambu’ was supposed to be a trilingual movie as Udhayanidhi decided to release the film in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi after witnessing the success of ‘Endhiran’ and ‘Rattha Charithram’.

But at the last moment, the trade of Hindi version doesn’t seem to have ended properly. Thusly, Udhayanidhi abstained from the thought of releasing the film in Hindi. The Telugu version titled as ‘Manmadha Banam’ has been acquired by Subrahmanyam B. and Roopesh Y of Lakshmi Ganapathi Films.

Both the versions will hit screens on December 23. However, Udhayanidhi Stalin is planning to release his next production ‘Ezham Arivu’ in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi as Suriya has already gained immense popularity in Bollywood and Tollywood with his first direct movie ‘Raktha Charithram’.
