Ambati Rayudu Dark Horse of IPL 2011

Ambati Rayudu is just 24 and has his share of ups and downs , already seen plenty of twists and turns in his brief cricketing career he is more matured and responsible player now. At 16, he was touted as the next great Indian hope after he blasted 177 for India colts against England. At 21, he was almost finished as he chose to play in the rebel Indian Cricket League. He was banned from Indian cricket due to his signing with the rebel ICL.In 2009, he returned to mainstream cricket when he accepted the BCCI's amnesty offer and he starred in the last year's IPL . Sachin Tendulkar empowered him with the responsibility of batting up order, ahead of the likes of Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard, and Rayudu delivered on numerous occasions. He is presently top 5 run scrores of IPL 2011.Here is ths story od one of the dark horses of IPL.

Ambati Thirupathi Rayudu was born on September 23, 1985 in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh to Sambasiva Rao and Vijayalakshmi.

He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler, wicket keeper. He completed his schooling from Bhavan's Sri Rama Krishna Vidyalaya.
He made his debut in Ranji Trophy domestic cricket in the 2001/02 cricket season for Hyderabad. In the 2002/03 season, Rayudu made a double century and a century in a match against Andhra Pradesh.

After Fall out with HCA in 2005, he left the team to play for Andhra State Ranji Team for One year. Later after a disappointing season, he went back to play for Hyderabad next season. He ran into trouble with the son of Shivlal Yadav, resulting in an ugly spat where Rayudu was attacked by Arjun Yadav with stumps after the latter was dismissed.he'd also had some problems with coaches of the team he was playing for.

Known to be a potential for the Indian national team due to his excellent batting skills. Rayudu was selected to represent the India Under-19 cricket team in the 2002 tour of England. In the third One Day International he scored 177, helping his side to overhaul England's total of 305. In an earlier match he had performed a similar role when his 80 laid the foundation for a victorious run-chase as the Indians defeated their English counterparts 3-0 in the ODI series. In the 2004/2005 three-test series against England Under-19, he scored three consecutive half-centuries. Rayudu captained the India Under-19 team in the 2003/2004 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He was also a regular in the India A squad.
But as the time progressed this dashing cricketers career took unwanted down step with his performance coming down drastically and his rapport with cricket associations going sour day by day.at one point every one thought his career was end by now , then came ICL , his want to play in front of home crowd and urge ot prove himself made him enroll for ICL and he had successful spree of hitting runs later he was dismissed by BCCI for playing in the rebel ICl matches, he was later forgiven by the board of cricket and he is playing past two IPL seasons .Rayudu is apparently enjoying the huge opportunity of batting alongside Sachin Tendulkar. Ina match sachin shared his MOM with Rayudu , and we see him keep on encouraging him along side other young cricketers .

Rayudu is now playing for the Baroda team. On 3 November 2010 he scored 200 not out against Orissa in the Ranji tropy.
Lets hope BCCi will take note of this talented young cricketer and give him a chance to play in the future international matches for Indian squad , his once team mates Suresh Raina, Irfan pathan and Others has already made mark in the cricket and now its his turn to prove his mettle by scoring full-on runs in this IPL season already in the top performer race with as a top 5 run scorer he need to bat for more runs to make the world a special note of him.

Good Luck Rayudu ... Wish to see you in Indian squad soon.

IPL 2011 Kiss News oops Sorry Cricket News

Who said the IPL was only about cricket?Earlier I wrote many articles on IPL 2011 but this one is different though related to gala T-20 cricket.
If the Royal Challengers Bangalore had their moment in the limelight when the RCB  owner, Siddharth Mallya, had a lip lock with Deepika Padukone, the Bollywood actress, when RCB’s won against kolkata. Now its turn of the Rajasthan Royals in the middle with the Shane Warne-Liz Hurley kiss in public.Though its very rare to see celebrities kissing [rather smooching ] in public, its IPL which is becoming hot hub for hot kisses, with cameras constantly panning between cricket and celebrities in hope of getting some more glimpse of celebrities Kissing to hold the interest of public , [statistics reveal public are loosing interest in ipl due to over does of cricket].
Earlier the hugging[Jaadu ki jhappi = magical hug ] Of Preeti Zinta ,shilpa Shetty and other celebrities made news, but after the series of kissing spree taking place in Ipl their hugging is taken back seat.As the matches race towards the end of the season , people are looking forward for "who planst kiss on whom".I doubt from now cameras will even show common public who come to see the matches.

What happened after Rajasthan Royal's win
The 45-year-old  Liz Hurley is in India supporting Shane, 41, as he captains the Rajasthan Royals . Hurley rushed to embrace Warne after the IPL Twenty20 match victory over Kochi Tuskers Keralaat the Swai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur yesterday.LIZ Hurley couldn't wait to congratulate Shane Warne after he captained the Rajasthan Royals to victory.LIZ Hurley couldn't wait to congratulate Shane Warne after he captained the Rajasthan Royals to victory.Elizabeth was far more interested in cheering her boyfriend Shane Warne on at his cricket game, and the couple engaged in some post-match kissing after shane's team won this even made the Royal couple blush.
On top of their passionate display of affection after Shane's match  the couple are back to their incessant tweeting.[Wonder why do they need Twitter when they are constantly in touch] Warne may no longer be pulling on the whites for Australia, but it seems his legendary spin skills are not going to waste.Speculation over the Warne and Hurley's relationship has raged since the pair were spied kissing last year at an English race meeting. The pair have been regularly tweeting each other ever since, many news agencies tabloids are writing a lot about their tweets these day .
Warne's affection for Hurley was proven strong with the presentation of a blue fronted Amazonian parrot named Ping Pong last Christmas. The bird now has its own twitter account  just like it's owners.
[Wish i was that bird... some time typing hurts !!! ]

No wonder if these celebrities get court notices, from human rights activist ,religious organizations or even political parties  for doing so in public, now media firms may also run articles, shows on the IPL kissing ...over cricket, lets wait and see .
Kissing after Cricket in public will stop or just started???

Duncan Fletcher is Team India's new Coach - Good Luck Coach !!!

Zimbabwean Duncan Fletcher Former captain and England cricket team coach has been appointed as the next coach of the Indian cricket team.Fletcher's name was finalized during a meeting of the Board of Control for Cricket in India's working committee. Stephen Fleming and Andy Flower were the other contenders for the job.Eric Simons will continue as the bowling coach of the Indian team.
He is largely credited with then England team rising from bottom of the Test rankings to second spot under his tenure as coach while rejuvenating the fortunes of the under performing English team. Earlier  South African Gary Kirsten, served as coach for a period of three years (2008-2011) and led Team India to victorious world cup win.Ducan has to go through lot of work load to prove his mettle as team India 's Coach , as of now Team India is charged up with world cup win and  in good form , His first assignment is likely to be the Indian cricket team's tour to the West Indies. The difficulty would raise for him as senior player will not be available for this eries, we have to wait and see how he molds the young players of the team.
Duncan Andrew Gwynne Fletcher was born on 27 September 1948 . he was inclined towards sports since child hood ,Fletcher was born in Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia now Harare, Zimbabwe and was one of five brothers in a Rhodesian farming family .  In 2004 England won an English record 8 consecutive tests, beating New Zealand 3-0 and West Indies 4-0 at home respectively, before winning the first test in South Africa. His famous and largest achievement  came in September 2005 he became the first coach of the English team to win an Ashes series for 18 years when England secured 2-1 victory over Australia.Apart from Cricket he also a player Rugby,at certain point he was planning to be a Rugby Consultant.Lets hope Team India will Flourish under the able guidance of 'Fletch' and be in the Number one slot soon and for long time.
Lets wish Good Luck to Team India's new Coach Mr. "Duncan Fletcher"

Andy Flower -In the race of Team India's New coach

Andy Flower, has reportedly been shortlisted by the BCCI for the job of Team India's coach to fill the void left by the departure of Gary Kirsten after India won the World Cup under him."Andy" Flower  is a former international cricketer for Zimbabwe and is currently the England coach.
he is in the race for Dream post of coaching Indian cricket team .Flower had dutifully played his roles to perfection both in front and behind the wicket in his career spanning almost 11 years.Lets know few details about Andy flower and his cricketing carrier.

Andrew or “Andy” Flower was actually born in Cape Town, South Africa in 1968 on 28th April, but his family returned to their native Zimbabwe (then Rhodesia) when he was 10 years old. It was obviously known to his father Bill, even at such a young age andy would excel at sports and he spent a lot of time coaching and playing  in their garden, which even to this day Andy attributes the time his father spent with him as largely responsible for his excellent technique. With this solid cricketing background, it wasn’t long before he was playing cricket for his school and then for his local sports club, Old Georgians, at the age of 15.Andy’s first-class debut was at the age of 18, playing for the ZCU (Zimbabwe Cricket Union) President’s XI against a very strong Young West Indian touring team. It was to be a rather quiet debut but showing great determination for a slow 13, as he resisted traditional West Indian pace from the likes of Eldine Baptiste.Flower played from his high school days at Vainona High School, Harare, through to most of his career alongside his younger brother Grant Flower.
Flower made his international debut in a One Day International against Sri Lanka at New Plymouth, New Zealand, in the 1992 Cricket World Cup,where he made a debut and century a feat which has only been repeated by three other players in history. He was Zimbabwe's wicket-keeper for more than 10 years and statistically by far the finest batsman the country has fielded. As a player, Flower rose to talisman stature in Zimbabwe's cricket history, a fact substantiated by his prolific batting stats.

- Tests 63, Runs 4,794, Average 51.54, Hundreds 12, Fifties 27, Catches 151, Stumpings 9

- ODIs 213, Runs 6,786, Average 35.34, Hundreds 4, Fifties 55, Catches 141, Stumpings 32Internationals,

He is the only Zimbabwean in the ICC's Top 100 All-time Test Batting rankings at Number 28, putting him in the company of Brian Lara (ranked 19), Sachin Tendulkar (20), Steve Waugh (23) and Rahul Dravid (25 in spetember 2006)

Nearing the end of his career, Flower achieved international recognition ,along with team mate Henry
Olonga in 2003 by wearing a black armband in a Cricket World Cup match to protest against the policies of Zimbabwe's government, led by Robert Mugabe. This led to both players having to flee Zimbabwe under the cover of darkness for fear of retribution. He and Olonga released a statement on 10 February, stating in part. This act  also led to pressure from Zimbabwe's government and Flower's retirement from Zimbabwean cricket. Andy announced his retirement from international cricket where he started it, at the World Cup.   Andy ended his playing spell at contu cricket due to injury, bringing his playing career to a close.

At the age of 38 and the start of the 2007 season he was offered the position as England’s assistant coach On 15 April 2009, following England's Caribbean tour, for which he was installed as interim team director following the departure of Peter Moores, he was appointed full-time team director.Flower’s calm but authoritative response impressed many and his standing improved throughout the tenure. He has confronted many challenges in his career, but coaching England will surely rival any of them. In the Summer of 2009, during his tenure as team director, England won The Ashes, beating Australia by two Test matches to one. In May 2010, they won the 2010 ICC World Twenty20 tournament in the West Indies. In November–January 2010/2011 England won the Ashes in Australia three Test matches to one.Although England had a lacklustre World Cup campaign under Flower, his coaching record and low-profile approach make him appear as a good choice to follow in the footsteps of Kirsten.
Lets hope for the best for both Andy and Indian Cricket Team

Paul Valthaty IPL 2011- Wealth found by Kings IX Punjab

Paul Chandrashekar Valthaty was born on December 7, 1983, Mumbai. He hails from the state of Andhra Pradhesh from a Telugu speaking Christian family. A top-order batsman who occasionally bowls medium-pace, Paul Valthaty shot into the limelight with a blistering century for Kings XI Punjab in the 2011 IPL season. Valthaty had a lowkey career till then, since making his way up the levels of age group cricket in Mumbai during the late 1990s. He made India's Under-19 squad to the 2002 World Cup in New Zealand with the likes of Irfan Pathan and Parthiv Patel, Paul Valthaty was lost into oblivion after an eye injury in a match  against Bangladesh put the brakes on his career way back in 2002  . He couldn't make the breakthrough into senior cricket for years, and got just one opportunity for Mumbai, a one-dayer in 2006. There was no high-profile cricket for him for another few years, till Rajasthan Royals took him to the side in the 2009 season, where he played a couple of matches. That earned him a place in Mumbai's Twenty20 side, and he turned in a few powerful performances for them, which led to a contract with Kings XI Punjab in 2011.
Kings XI Punjab found a cricketing wealth in the form of Paul Valthaty who gave outstanding performance in the Indian Premier League against champions Chennai Super Kings,Deccan chargers today and also Rajasthan Royals. Valthaty raced to 120 not out in 63 balls as the Kings XI Punjab chased down the 189-run target with six wickets and five balls to spare on Wednesday, 13th April, 2011 at Mohali. It was the first hundred of IPL 2011 and 13th overall and this century is his first fastest century. It was also the 3rd highest IPL score ever, after only Brendon McCullum's 158* and Murali Vijay's 127.In his second match he just scored 6 runs, but he was noted again for his scintillating performance against Deccan chargers, where he scored  75 of just 47 balls with 5 sixes and 8 fours. His performance earned him 2nd Man of the the match in IPL 2011 Season. In the match against Rajasthan Royals he scored 46 of 31 balls which helped Kings XI Punjab in their third consecutive win.
He subsequently earned the orange cap for being the current highest run getter in the tournament.

Lets wish our Cricket wealth Valthaty a good cricketing future, may god bless him and willing to  more awesome and entertaining  performances from him...
Final word to him.. dear 'Val' Hope to see you playing in Indian squad soon !!!

Wow Watson !!!! 185 of Just 96 Balls - 15 Sixes

Shane Watson Future Captain of Australia

Shane Robert Watson (born 17 June 1981 in Ipswich, Queensland) is an Australian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-handed fast medium bowler. He mainly bats as an opener in international cricket, although he does not do so domestically.
He debuted for the Australian cricket team in 2002, playing his first One Day International against South Africa. While he has become a regular member of the one-day squad, Watson has played few Test Matches for Australia, having debuted against Pakistan at the Sydney Cricket Ground in January 2005. Despite being allocated to be Australia's designated Test all-rounder, injuries have often prevented him from claiming his position in the Test team. However, from the second half of 2009, Watson has acted as Australian Test opening batsman, along with Simon Katich. Watson was awarded the 2010 Allan Border Medal and again in 2011 thus joining him as the second player to win back-to back Allan Border Medals after Ricky Ponting in 2006 and 2007

Watson with His Wife Lee

·         Watson's wife Lee Furlong, whom he married in June 2010, is a Fox Sports Australia presenter.    Excellent all-rounder, who has overcome a series of injuries to become a key member of the Australia team.  His childhood heroes were Steve Waugh and Ricky Ponting. IPL 2011- Srikkanth S/O Srikanth - Star made of 64 runs!!!

Srikkanth Anirudha - top scorer  of 1st IPL 2011 Match

The first match of Dlf IPL 2011 and he made 64 of 56 ball with strike rate of 116.36 , now imagine the crowd screaming and shouting when he thrashed the ball towards boundary in his home ground with his elegant sixes and fabulous fours the roar was huge, but... who is this guy?
He is son of Kirhsmachary Srikanth former opener and superbly gifted strike player from India with top rated strike rate and now chief selector of BCCI ,  did.... heeee.. help Ani [what people call him] to escalate in the carrer in the cricketing world??? [well this is the question many people have in their mind] and the answer is No absolutely no... according to me,'Bechara Baccha' already he might have been under lot of pressure being son of a celebrated cricketer, just encourage him and let him play his cricket. Will have a  little insight on the Anirudha srikkanth's carrier and will know few things about him as if now ... will keep updating later[let him strike another 50 or 100]

Ani Srikkanth S/O Krish Srikanth

Anirudha Srikkanth  was born in  Chennai on  April 14, 1987 to Indian cricketer Krish Srikkanth. He is currently playing for the Chennai Super Kings in DLF IPL season 4.

An attacking opening batsman, much like his father Krish Srikkanth, Anirudha made his first-class debut in the 2003-04 season when he was 16 year old. He was in and out of the Tamil Nadu Ranji squad in the following seasons but has enjoyed greater success in the limited-overs format and once topped the run charts for India Under-19s against the touring England U-19s in 2004-05. His record in the Twenty20 format too has been impressive, finishing the fourth-highest run-getter in the inter-state Twenty20 in 2007. Srikkanth Anirudha was also among 30 probables in T20 world cup.He was later included in the Chennai Super Kings squad in the Indian Premier League Twenty20 tournament. IPL 3

His popularity escalated as He scored 64 runs and got bowled over by jack kallis of kolkata knight riders at 19.1 overs. on the opening match of IPL season 4 [Chennai super kings vs Kolkata night riders].
in the previous IPL matches he wasn't getting proper chances to prove his mettle as he was playing at number 7 or8, now its time for him to prove himself as a good cricketer and carry his fathers legacy, lest wish him all the best.
Hope to see him in  Indian team playing international matches very soon, god bless him and give him power to hit lot of sixes to entertain us all..in this IPL Go Ani Go..
