Ambati Rayudu Dark Horse of IPL 2011

Ambati Rayudu is just 24 and has his share of ups and downs , already seen plenty of twists and turns in his brief cricketing career he is more matured and responsible player now. At 16, he was touted as the next great Indian hope after he blasted 177 for India colts against England. At 21, he was almost finished as he chose to play in the rebel Indian Cricket League. He was banned from Indian cricket due to his signing with the rebel ICL.In 2009, he returned to mainstream cricket when he accepted the BCCI's amnesty offer and he starred in the last year's IPL . Sachin Tendulkar empowered him with the responsibility of batting up order, ahead of the likes of Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard, and Rayudu delivered on numerous occasions. He is presently top 5 run scrores of IPL 2011.Here is ths story od one of the dark horses of IPL.

Ambati Thirupathi Rayudu was born on September 23, 1985 in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh to Sambasiva Rao and Vijayalakshmi.

He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler, wicket keeper. He completed his schooling from Bhavan's Sri Rama Krishna Vidyalaya.
He made his debut in Ranji Trophy domestic cricket in the 2001/02 cricket season for Hyderabad. In the 2002/03 season, Rayudu made a double century and a century in a match against Andhra Pradesh.

After Fall out with HCA in 2005, he left the team to play for Andhra State Ranji Team for One year. Later after a disappointing season, he went back to play for Hyderabad next season. He ran into trouble with the son of Shivlal Yadav, resulting in an ugly spat where Rayudu was attacked by Arjun Yadav with stumps after the latter was dismissed.he'd also had some problems with coaches of the team he was playing for.

Known to be a potential for the Indian national team due to his excellent batting skills. Rayudu was selected to represent the India Under-19 cricket team in the 2002 tour of England. In the third One Day International he scored 177, helping his side to overhaul England's total of 305. In an earlier match he had performed a similar role when his 80 laid the foundation for a victorious run-chase as the Indians defeated their English counterparts 3-0 in the ODI series. In the 2004/2005 three-test series against England Under-19, he scored three consecutive half-centuries. Rayudu captained the India Under-19 team in the 2003/2004 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He was also a regular in the India A squad.
But as the time progressed this dashing cricketers career took unwanted down step with his performance coming down drastically and his rapport with cricket associations going sour day by day.at one point every one thought his career was end by now , then came ICL , his want to play in front of home crowd and urge ot prove himself made him enroll for ICL and he had successful spree of hitting runs later he was dismissed by BCCI for playing in the rebel ICl matches, he was later forgiven by the board of cricket and he is playing past two IPL seasons .Rayudu is apparently enjoying the huge opportunity of batting alongside Sachin Tendulkar. Ina match sachin shared his MOM with Rayudu , and we see him keep on encouraging him along side other young cricketers .

Rayudu is now playing for the Baroda team. On 3 November 2010 he scored 200 not out against Orissa in the Ranji tropy.
Lets hope BCCi will take note of this talented young cricketer and give him a chance to play in the future international matches for Indian squad , his once team mates Suresh Raina, Irfan pathan and Others has already made mark in the cricket and now its his turn to prove his mettle by scoring full-on runs in this IPL season already in the top performer race with as a top 5 run scorer he need to bat for more runs to make the world a special note of him.

Good Luck Rayudu ... Wish to see you in Indian squad soon.
