Madhavan's forthcoming movie Aarya is directed by Balasekaran. Madhavan plays as a doctor again, after K.Balachander's Parthalae Paravasam. Bhavana, the leading lady pairs up with Maddy for the first time. This movie was in need of a second hero and it was announced to the public. There were nearly 3000 contestants. Several tests were conducted and Praveen Kumar, a Chennai resident was selected to act with Madhavan in Aarya. The judges for this selection were Prakash Raj, producers Manoj Kumar & Vijay Anandan and Director Balasekaran. Music is rendered by Mani Sharma. The movie is still under production and the crew has decided to release it in summer, 2007.
