Kaalai, Simbu's forthcoming movie is directed by Tharun Gopi. Vedhika has paired up with Simbu for the first time. Vedhika made her debut in Muni, directed by Raghava Lawrence. Initially Madhavan and Trisha were cast for the movie, but later on they were replaced by Simbu and Vedhika. Kaalai's music is scored by Kreedom fame G.V.Prakash(A.R.Rahman's nephew). Actress Nila performs an item number! Kaalai's budget is estimated to be Rs.45 million. Kaalai is shaping up really well and is expected to be released in 2007.
