Director A Venkatesh is surely upgrading himself as an actor. After a commendable performance in ‘Angadi Theru’, the filmmaker known for his ‘mass masala’ entertainers has bagged yet another meaty role.
This time, Venkatesh would cross swords with Sathyaraj in ‘Sattapadi Kuttram’, a remake to yesteryear hit ‘Sattam Oru Iruttarai, which too is directed by S A Chandrasekar.
“I am a big fan of Sathyaraj and a great admirer of his acting. It is an unexpected thing that I am acting as a villain to Sathyaraj, who is a name to reckon with in such characters,” the director-actor says.
Interestingly, Venkatesh is also playing a baddie in ‘Iravum Pagalum’, a film which has ‘Angadi Theru’ fame Mahesh in the lead role. Looks like the enmity between Venkatesh and Mahesh is a never ending saga.
