Director P Vasu father passes away

M G Ramachandran’s make up man and director P Vasu’s father Peethambaram passed away yesterday. Peethambaram was a make up man for M G R and N T R.  He was the make up man for Rajnikanth in the film Murattu Kalai. Due to his old age he was ailing for sometime. Since his kidneys had failed, he was given dialysis on a regular basis. Yesterday his health condition became very worse. He was rushed to a private nursing home at Mylapore. But in spite of intensive treatment he was not able to survive. He passed away at 5 p m. Kamalam Ammal is the name of late Peethambaram. She is no more. He is survived by his sons Vidhyasagar, Vasu, Vimal and daughters Vanaja and Vijayalakshmi. The funeral rites took place today afternoon at Besant Nagar crematorium.
