'Kites' In Spanish

Today’s movies are fast being remade into other languages and versions. There is no language barrier as such. There has been a Tamil version of Aishwarya’s ‘Ravan’. Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kites’ is now ready for a flying start. The Hindi version is roughly a quarter and two hours of duration and the English version is an hour and a half. The Hindi version of ‘Kites’ has still not hit the screens and the flick already has an English version. Both of these versions – Hindi and English are to be released in May.
‘Kites’ will also be having a Spanish version. This, though, has some time to go before the world will get to see it. It is good news for the fans of Barbara Mori, as they will get to enjoy her stint in Spanish and the Hindi and the English versions will be catered to worldwide audience – the Indians and the English-speaking world alike.

Nayanthara has no interest to Bollywood Movies

Nayanthara has said that she is not interested in acting in Bollywood films, which is a dream for all actresses in the southern film circuit. The actresssays that being a star in the South, she does not want to begin as newcomer in the Hindi film industry. Nayanthara is currently busy with a Kannada and Tamil film.On being a glamour girl, she says that the roles offered require her to be so. The actress pointed out that it is always better to take up small films that offer meaty role rather than big budget ones that are hero-centric and offer no scope for the leading lady.

Kushboo 22 cases dismissed by Supreme court

Khushboo had the last laugh as her five year long court room battle ended with victory in her lap. The Supreme Court dismissed all of the 22 cases filed against her leaving the lady with a sense of relief and contentment.

A bench comprising Chief Justice K.G. Balakrishnan and Justice B.S. Chauhan quashed 22 criminal cases against her saying that her statement on the issue of pre-marital sex and live-in relationships was her personal view and the Indian constitution entitles her to express it.
In a 2005 interview Kushboo said it was not wrong for women to have pre-marital sex as long as they took precautions.
She said that it was also “not fair of any educated youth to expect his wife to be a virgin”.
Several cases were filed against her across Tamil Nadu in various courts under different sections of the Indian penal code.
The Madras high court had earlier rejected her appeal to dismiss the cases against her.
But last month, the Supreme Court endorsed the right of unmarried couples to live together.
The judges said that even Hindu Gods Lord Krishna and Radha were co-habiting lovers.

In their next movie, Shah Rukh and Kareena play a couple. The movie is Shah Rukh’s home production under Red Chillies Entertainment. The film ‘Ra.1’ is a science fiction in which Shah Rukh is a scientist. He is based in London and wants to develop a robot.

Kaavalkaaran Exclusive stills

Vijay makes Kaavalkaaran short term to move on?

Enquiries in Kollywood revealed that Kaavalkaran the Tamil remake of the Malayalam hit film Bodyguard is a short-term project. The film’s shooting had begun a month ago and had been moving on at a rapid speed. Going by the words of industry sources, Kaavalkaran could be completed in June or July.

Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay, who plays the male lead in this film, will then move on to a project that is to be directed by Jayam Raja and produced by Aascar Films. If everything falls in place, Raja and Vijay would begin the project once the latter completes the Kaavalkaran assignment.

Meanwhile, there is a buzz going on that Vijay will don one of the roles in the remake of 3 Idiots. This film’s Tamil rights have been procured by Gemini Film Circuit. It is worth mentioning here that Vijay had expressed his desire to work in this remake when his fans wanted to know if he would.

Vijay to sport beard

It's almost official and confirmed now that Vijay will start working for the remake of ‘3 Idiots’ after finishing 'Kaavalkaran which is also a remake of a Malayalam film.
He plays the role Rancho played by Aamir Khan and has decided his look in the film. Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay will be sporting a beard for the first time in a movie for ‘3 Idiots’ remake. The remake has evoked a lot of discussions on all fronts.
It's still not known who would play the other two male roles other than Vijay. Gemini Film Circuit which is remaking ‘3 Idiots’ is also on look out for the possible director who would be able to create the same magic of the original. Sindhu Menon gets married all of a sudden

The marriage between Sindhu and Prabhu took place in Bangalore on Sunday. Sindhu Menon hails from Irinjalakuda of Trichur District in Kerala. She completed her studies in Bangalore and settled there.

After this she acted with Jayaram in the Malayalam film Utthaman. She continued to act in Malayalam films including Vasthavam, Rajamanickam and T 20. In Tamil she was introduced by Bharathiraja in the film Kadal Pookal. She has also acted in the Tamil film titled Samudram. After a long hiatus she acted in the film Eeram.
She is currently acting in an English film. She was in love with Prabhu who is working as a software engineer in London. Both the parents have approved their love and agreed for the marriage. The marriage between the two took place in Bangalore. Only close relatives participated in the marriage.
The reception of the marriage took place in Bowering Club situated in M G Road. Film personalities including Eeram director Arivazhagan and actor Nanda participated in this function and greeted the couple.

Prakash Raj says that he is going to marry Bony Varma soon

Prakash Raj said that he will soon be getting married to Bony Varma. Bony Varma is a choreographer working in Bollywood. She use to also work for the films produced by Prakash Raj. Romance blossomed between the two.
Because of this he divorced his wife Lalitha Kumari. Speaking about this Prakash Raj said,” Many are telling that I am building a big house in Chennai and Hyderabad and I am also designing it in a fantastic way. I have studied architecture. Almost a day's Shooting

Movie lovers, movie buffs or fans only get to see the glamour of the lovely looking women. They just enjoy what they see on the scene. However, one hardly spares a thought of how much goes behind the scene. Shilpa Shetty is whom we are talking about and the shooting is that of a reality show – ‘Zara Nach Ke Dikha'. Shilpa Shetty had to shoot for as long as 22 hours and that too at a stretch.
A technical glitch proved to be costly and the actress had to shoot two episodes. That is because, no one knew which would be the next date that would be suitable for all the crew. That is when Shilpa said on her blog, “Our lives are not as glamorous as they look.” The reality show goes on air from the first of May.

Ayngaran International, whose production venture ‘Angadi Theru’ has won rave reviews from all sections of the media, is all set to float its next project. The film will see Mahesh and Anjali, the lead pair of the Vasanthabalan movie, coming together again.

The festival is to be held from June 2nd to June 4th. Seeman while speaking about this said,” We protested against Sri Lankan Government genocide against thousands of Tamilians. In order to cover up this the Sri Lankan Government has planned to hold this festival. My organization Naam Tamizhar protested before Amitabh Bachchan’s house in Mumbai and asked him not to participate in this festival. He was the brand ambassador of this festival. The member met him on behalf of ten Crores of Tamilians and explained their sentiments and requested him not to participate in this festival.At this stage we have got a big victory because Amitabh while speaking said that he has understood the feelings of Tamilians and also respect it. He also mentioned that he will speak to the people concerned and will find a positive solution to this. Jeeva Speaks About His Forthcoming Films

Jeeva while speaking about his forthcoming films said,” I am currently acting in Singam Puli, Roudram and Ko. In Singam Puli, for the first time I am donning dual roles. Both are different characters. In one role I am donning the role of a fisherman and in another role I am donning the role of a lawyer. Sai Ramani is directing this film. There is news that Roudram is being delayed, it is not like that. Twelve days of shooting has been completed. Now I have given another 10 days call sheet.With regard to Ko, I did not get visa to China. Hence K V Anand shot the scenes here itself which was supposed to be shot in China. I got this film unexpectedly. I am really happy to act in this film directed by K V Anand who gave the film Ayan. Radha’s daughter Karthika is pairing with me in the film Ko. Apart from this I am also acting in a film directed by Kannan. I will also be acting in the Tamil remake of the Hindi film Three Idiots which has Vijay in the lead role.”

Ranjithaa says she has talent and will take up a lot of challenging roles and prove herself as a top heroine in the film industry. She has earlier experience of stage performance and she says that this will help her. She also does not believe in over exposing to get attention and roles.

Vikram to explode in ‘Vedi’

After sharing the spot light along with Abishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai for his scintillating performances in ‘Raavanan’, Cheeyan Vikram is back at work in Chennai.
While waiting for the accolades Vikram is also preparing for his new film with director Boopathy Pandian. The new Cheeyan film is now titled ‘Vedi’ and appropriately Vikram will explode as a police officer a la ‘Samy’.
This Mohan Natarajan production is about an intelligent investigative police officer, who wins the baddies with brain and brawn. Boopathy Pandian is known for pacy films that cater to the masses and with an equally peppy actor in Vikram ‘Vedi’ will explode at the box office.
Ileana plays the heroine to Vikram and the producer plans to dub and release the film simultaneously in Telugu also. As an advantage to that Tollywood comedian Brahmanandam and Kota Sreenivasa Rao play pivotal roles. Actor Aadhi’s father and a popular Telugu director Ravi Raja is also getting introduced as a villain giving company to Kota. More over Devi Sri Prasad, who is equally popular in Tamil and Telugu is scoring the music.
The first schedule of ‘Vedi’ is starting in the second week of June after Vikram comes out of the magic charm of ‘Raavanan’.

KJO-RGV: The fight continues

Don’t think that there are only the on-screen celebrities who have a thing or two to say against each other. The behind-the-scene celebs too are lagging far behind. We are talking about the famous and prolific filmmakers, Karan Johar and Ram Gopal Verma. The hostility towards each other got underway when RGV had a comment to pass about KJO’s ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’.
Since then there has been dearth of one taking a potshot at the other. This has gone as far as getting it on Twitter. Karan was not too far from commenting when ‘Phoonk 2’ didn’t do well at the box office. Karan had said that he hadn’t seen ‘Phoonk’ or ‘Phoonk 2’ and hoped that the third version of the film would never be made. KJO also spoke about being afraid when watching ‘Phoonk 2’ and RGV replied in his own way. How long now will this go on? Do you think the rivalry will dish out quality films?

Selvaraghavan is in search of new heroine

Selvaraghavan is in search of new hero and heroine for the new film which he is directing in Tamil and Telugu languages. After Aayirathil Oruvan, Selvaraghavan is directing a Tamil film which has Vikram and Swathi in the lead roles.

In between he is also directing a film which has Telugu hero Raana in the lead role. This film is being produced in Tamil and Telugu languages.

Sivappu Mazhai Banned

Sivappu Mazhai, a film that was made to enter the Guinness Book of World Records, has been banned in Sri Lanka. The film, which has the distinction of being made within 12 days, deals with a young man who has been affected by the Sri Lankan army. The young man comes down to India to kidnap the young daughter of a central minister to fulfill his demands.Sivappu Mazhai is produced by Suresh Joachim, who also stars in this film with Meera Jasmine playing the leading lady. It is worth mentioning here that the movie hit the screens in Tamil Nadu a few days ago.

Priyamani in Kushi Remake

The Tamil blockbuster ‘Khushi’ is now being remade in Kannada. While Ganesh will play the role played by Vijay in the original, guess who is going to replace Jyothika? She is Priyamani, who is shining bright in all four south Indian languages.
Produced by Udayachandra Productions, the film titled ‘Eno Onthara’ is directed by Magesh. If sources are to be believed, the actress immediately said ‘yes’ when she was contacted to know her willingness to be a part of the project.
“Jyothika is one of my favourite actresses. I am happy to bag the heroine role in the Kannada remake of ‘Khushi’, which was beautifully played by her in the Tamil version. I will strive to do my best to repeat the magic,” Priyamani says.
Besides this Kannada project, Priyamani is acting in one more Sandalwood film too, we learn. She is also there in Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus ‘Raavanan’, Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Raktha Charithra’ and a couple of Telugu films.
