Vidhya Balan has agreed to act in Tamil and Malayalam film because her parents requested her. Vidhya Balan belongs to Tamil family in Palghat. In the initial stages, she had come to act in Tamil films.
She was signed for a Tamil film and after 5 days acting in it, she was ousted out of it. Then she was selected to pair with Madhavan and after few days she was removed from the film. Fed up with this she decided not act in Tamil films.
She later became the leading actress in Hindi film industry. Now when she was approached to act in Tamil films, she blatantly kept refusing. At this point her father and mother forced her to act in Tamil and Malayalam films. Because of this she has agreed to dance for a song in the film Urumi directed by Santhosh Shivan.
This film is being released in Tamil, Malayalam and English languages. Vidhya Balan while speaking about this said,” I am getting lot of offers to act in Tamil and Malayalam films. I will be acting for the sake of my parents.”
