This happened when they were shooting for Malaikottai, an upcoming film directed by Bhoopathy Pandian, starring Priya Mani and Vishal. The shooting was held in film city,Chennai.During a stunt sequence, Vishal and Priya Mani had to ride on a motor cycle chased by villains in autos. When this was being shot, one of the autos unexpectedly collided with the motor cycle. Vishal lost his balance and was thrown out of the vehicle along with Priya. Vishal sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Priya Mani escaped miraculously without any injuries.
